People are asking, "How are you going to top this one!". Our Fourth annual tea, was another great success. The day began with our Queen DonnaMae introducing the five visiting Queens and their groups. They came from Alturas, Cedarville, two groups from Burney and one from Susanville. Once again, Ms. Yonehara and her FHA class did an outstanding job of preparing and serving the food. Following was our "Unique Fashion Show", narrated by Flora Gordon. The 14 Scarlet Plums who were asked to participate in this event gave 110% in their creative talents. Many door prizes were given away and the winners of the silent auction of the vintage red hats were announced. Our celebrity guests, the Andrews Sisters, entertained us next with "Don't Sit Under the Apple Tree", "Mr. Sandman", "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy" and "Lullaby of Broadway". The grand finale was the parade of "Spring Hats" accompanied by a song by Jay Richno. It was a wonderful way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
