On July 15th, several of the Scarlet Plums met in Weed, California to board a tour bus along with 70 other Red Hatters bound for the Southern Oregon wine country.

First stop on their wine tasting tour was the Southern Oregon Winery Association Information Center where they learned what was in store for the day. They headed to the Roxy Ann Winery outside of Medford where they sampled their first wine of the day and enjoyed a delicious lunch. Then they were off to Del Rio Vinyards near Gold Hill where they sampled a few more reds and whites and enjoyed a wine cookie, used to cleanse the palate.

They boarded the bus again and were off to Valley View Winery near Jacksonville. Here they enjoyed a decadent chocolate brownie with their wine. They were taken to Jacksonville where they had an hour of free time to do a little shopping. Then they boarded the bus again and were taken back to Medford to the Harry and David store. There were able to get in a little more shopping before they boarded the bus one last time to head back to Weed. I think it's safe to say it was an intoxicating afternoon!
