On
September 23, 2006, seven Scarlet Plums drove to Klamath
Falls to attend a red hat pajama party at the Shlo Inn,
where they were met by one other Plum, Susan Crawford.
This is an annual event put on by a group of red hatters
from Chiloquin. We were served a delicious luncheon
consisting of a chicken wrap, tossed salad and fruit
salad, followed by raspberry covered cheesecake. What
a variety of sleeping attire we saw!
We were entertained before, during and
after our lunch with music by a 3-piece combo, the Tappin
Troupers (a group of "seasoned" gals who love
to dance and entertain), and
a wonderful fashion show. The clothes were furnished
by Gottschalk's and modeled by red hatters. There were
door prizes given out until all 105 gals in attendance
received one.
As an added bonus to end a perfect day,
we went to the Ross Ragland Theater to attend a performance
by the Oak Ridge Boys. And from there out to dinner
at the Dynasty for some great Chinese food. We Scarlet
Plums know how to have fun!
